Brian Cage isnt just recovering from double knee surgeryhes also stepping into Hollywood in a massive way.

The AEW star revealed that hes landed a role in an upcoming Steven Spielberg project, and the way it all unfolded sounds like something straight out of a movie itself.

During a recent interview with The Magic of Wrestling, Cage explained that Chavo Guerrero initially reached out to him about a wrestling-themed TV project. While that show didnt move forward, Chavo mentioned a film that might be a better fit.

Cage sent his materials over, but weeks passed without a response. Then, out of nowhere, the casting team came knockingand they were already all in.

Still not knowing who the director was, Cage made a follow-up calland nearly dropped the phone.

The real shocker for Cage wasnt just landing a partbut learning that Spielberg personally watched his wrestling footage and handpicked him for the role.

Cage was then asked who hed want to work with on the movie. Without hesitation, he suggested his AEW tag partner, Lance Archer.

The duo reportedly filmed scenes together before Cages injury. The film is tentatively slated for a June 2026 release, though the date isnt locked in.

Reflecting on the experience, Cage admitted it was one of the most surreal moments of his lifeand hinted this might just be the start of something big.
