AEW All In: Texas was a loaded show on paper and even more loaded behind the scenes. While fans packed the arena to watch the action unfold live, some of the most interesting developments happened backstagewhere released WWE stars were spotted watching closely.
According to Fightful Select, several non-AEW wrestlers were in the building for All In, and the list includes some eyebrow-raising names. There were a ton of non-AEW wrestlers in attendance for All In. They included Shotzi Blackheart, Priscilla Kelly/Gigi Dolin, Monty Brown, Joey Janela, Brian Myers, and others, the report confirmed.
The presence of Shotzi and Gigi Dolin is especially noteworthy. Both women were recently let go from WWE and have expressed interest in joining AEW. Their attendance in Texas may not just be a friendly visitit might be a signal that AEW could be exploring new additions to its womens division.
While the live show delivered on crowd-pleasing matches like Mercedes Mon vs. Toni Storm and Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Page, AEW reportedly kept the match order and even some finishes secret until the very last moment. Rehearsals were held at an off-site location on Friday night before the show, adding to the secrecy.
Also, several match outcomes were kept internal, with multiple matches having alternate finishes arranged between the wrestlers. One match that was set in stone early was Moxleys AEW World Title loss, which had been locked in since Hangman Pages win at Double or Nothing.
AEW might have made headlines with their in-ring product, but the true story might end up being who was watching from the sidelines. Whether or not any of these familiar faces land a spot on the roster, AEW is clearly keeping its options openand so are a few free agents.
