John Cena made his return as Peacemaker but youll have to look fast.
In the new Superman movie, Cena shows up in a surprise cameo as his foul-mouthed DC character. The current WWE champ isnt suiting up for battle this time, though. Instead, he appears as a talking head on a news show, giving commentary on the state of Superman after a major plot twist shakes the DC universe.
Peacemaker fans shouldnt stress this brief appearance isnt random. The events of the Superman movie will tie directly into the storyline for Peacemaker Season 2, which hits HBO Max this August.
One person you wont see? The Rock. Despite playing Black Adam in 2022, Dwayne Johnson is nowhere to be found, and that version of the character is being quietly shelved. DC Studios is officially moving forward with its new shared universe, starting with Superman and the animated Creature Commandos series, now streaming on HBO Max.
Cenas cameo is short, but it sets the tone for whats to come and it looks like Peacemakers chaotic world is about to get a lot bigger.
