Kris Statlander just made her presence known outside of AEWand she didnt waste any time grabbing gold.

The AEW star made her debut for UK-based all-womens promotion Pro Wrestling EVE tonight at the Mean Grrrls event in London, and by the end of the night, she was holding championship gold.

Statlander stepped into the ring for a title match against reigning EVE International Champion Anita Vaughan. In her first-ever appearance for the promotion, Statlander defeated Vaughan to capture the EVE International Championship.

The AEW standout has been stacking momentum lately. She already punched her ticket to next weekends AEW All In Texas event, securing her spot in the Casino Gauntlet match after winning a four-way against Athena, Willow Nightingale, and Thunder Rosa.

Statlander is also right in the middle of an ongoing AEW storyline involving Willow Nightingale and the Death Riders Wheeler Yuta. Her former Best Friends stablemate has been trying to recruit her into the group, adding even more tension to her current run.

The Mean Grrrls event also featured some other big AEW news. It was announced that Julia Hart and Skye Blue will both make their Pro Wrestling EVE debuts during Forbidden Door weekend on August 23.

What do you think of Statlander grabbing a title in her EVE debut? Should AEW talent be winning indie gold, or does it hurt the local scene? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know.
