The July 4th episode of WWE SmackDown delivered a huge surprise for the womens division, as Trish Stratus made her return to WWE television and confirmed her next matcha showdown with Tiffany Stratton at WWE Evolution.
Tiffany Stratton hit the ring to hype her upcoming SummerSlam match with Jade Cargill, but the Womens Champion had more than just one title defense on her mind. Stratton announced she would also be defending her title at Evolution on July 13and revealed her opponent would be none other than WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
Moments later, Trish made her entrance to a thunderous reaction and accepted the challenge, setting up a marquee match for WWEs all-womens premium live event. The two exchanged words before leaving the ring, leaving fans fired up for whats to come.
Trish Stratus doesnt appear on WWE television often, making this a big statement for the companys upcoming event. Her last match came at Elimination Chamber on March 1, 2025, where she actually teamed with Stratton to defeat Candice LeRae and Nia Jax. Now, the former allies will face off in a highly-anticipated title match on one of WWEs biggest stages for the womens division.
WWE Evolution goes down on July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and this match just added serious star power to the lineup.
