The status of WWEs Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia has been clouded by rumors, especially after reports circulated that WWE production staff were stranded in Qatar and unable to get to Riyadh. But the full picture is a little different.

According to PWInsider.com, the reality is that the majority of WWEs crew has already been on the ground in Saudi Arabia for over a week. Setup for Night of Champions has been underway since at least the week of June 9, with additional production staff arriving steadily since then.

That said, five WWE staffers are currently stuck at Doha Airport in Qatar. These staffers were awaiting a connecting flight to Saudi Arabia when airspace closures disrupted travel. The shutdown of civilian flights follows ongoing tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States, which has sparked widespread travel restrictions across the region.

Despite the hiccups, WWE has not made any public statement on the status of Night of Champions. Sources confirmed that as of today, setup at the venue is continuing on schedule, and preparations for the event are still active.

Concerns around the show have been growing after Iran launched attacks on a U.S. military base in Qatar, prompting increased security alerts and temporary flight restrictions. Earlier this week, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com noted that WWE had a narrow window to make a final decision on the event, stating:

With five crew members stuck overseas but the majority of setup already completed, all eyes are on WWE to see whether the company stays the course or pulls the plug at the last minute.

Do you think WWE should risk pushing forward with Night of Champions, or is it time to hit pause? Drop your take in the comments.
