After making his shocking return at "Money in the Bank", Ron Killings will go one-on-one with Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena. On "RAW", Killings attacked the champ twice. Cena beat Killings in under five minutes at "Saturday Night's Main Event".
One week from tomorrow is "Night of Champions" where the Queen and King of the Ring tournaments will take place, respectively. The semi-finals continue tonight. On the women's side Asuka will take on Alexa Bliss. "The Empress of Tomorrow" made her in-ring return this past Monday for the first time in over a year.
The men's bracket will see Randy Orton face Sami Zayn. Orton defeated Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, and Aleister Black to advance. Zayn bested Bron Breakker, Dominik Mysterio, and Penta to make it to the semis.
Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore welcome us on commentary as LA Knight makes his way to the ring with a mic. Knight couldn't let what happened at "Money in the Bank" slide and then they took him out of King of the Ring, so he screwed the other one out of the tournament. He calls out Seth Rollins.
Paul Heyman came out and said Rollins wasn't there. He threatened Knight and told him if he didn't get out of the ring, he'd regret it. Knight called Heyman a leech, among other things. Knight said he asked for Rollins and got him and challenged him for a match on the spot. Knight offered Heyman him the first shot and turned his back to take off his vest. Heyman rolled out of the ring and Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed came down. Knight double teamed them both momentarily until they beat them down. Knight cleared the ring with a chair and they all scattered.
Alexa Bliss makes her way to the ring, followed by Asuka. They lock up before Asuka wails on Bliss. Bliss quickly sends her to the mat. Askua takes her down with a shoulder tackle and again with a hip attack through the ropes.
After the break, Bliss is on the offense and repeatedly takes down her opponent. Bliss could only cover her for two. Asuka finds momentum and suplexes her before kicking the leg out from under Bliss. Bliss rolled her up and then put her in Sister Abigail, but Askua countered and goes for a pin, but Bliss kicked out. Asuka goes up top for a missile dropkick, but Bliss moves. Bliss plants her with a DDT, but it isn't enough. Bliss climbs the ropes and starts to hit Twisted Bliss before getting down. Asuka puts her in an armbar and transitions to a submission before putting her in an Asuka Lock, but Bliss gets out. Asuka with a neckbreaker and a cover for two.
Asuka went for Empress Impact, but ate a right hand from her opponent. Bliss hangs Asuka up and hits a dropkick. She went for Twisted Bliss, but Asuka got her knees up. Asuka hits Empress Impact to advance.
Winner: Asuka
