The June 17 episode of NXT brought a lot of action, and it also set the stage for one of the biggest events in womens wrestling this year. WWE Evolution is coming, and it stole the spotlight during this weeks show.
Four singles matches were booked for this week, with the winners going on to a four-way match next week. The winner of that match will face Jacy Jayne for the NXT Womens Title at Evolution.
Thea Hail went up against Jaida Parker in another Evolution qualifier in the first match of the night. They got things started in a hurry, and in the end, Parker tapped, but the referee didnt see it. That gave Parker a chance to nail her finisher and get the win to advance.
Lash Legend faced Kelani Jordan in the second qualifying match of the night. This match stretched through a commercial break, and in the end, Legend was able to kick out of everything Jordan threw at her and advance to the four-way match next week.
Zaria also took on Izzi Dame in singles action. Izzi was able to take Zaria to the limit, and in the end, Dame was able to win and secure her place in next weeks match.
Lola Vice faced Jordynne Grace in the final match to determine who will go on to Evolution. After a hard-hitting contest, Jordynne was able to win the match to advance into next weeks four-way match.
These matches are part of the build toward WWE Evolution, an all-womens Premium Live Event scheduled for July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The event is part of a larger WWE weekend in Atlanta, which also includes Saturday Nights Main Event on July 12 at the same venue.
We will keep an eye on WWE Evolution. Only time will tell what they are able to book for the historic event. If anything, we know what NXT will be included.
