
Mr. Iguanas time in WWE didnt end at Worlds Collideits just getting started.
The AAA luchador unexpectedly became one of the breakout stars from WWE x AAA Worlds Collide and WWE Money in the Bank weekend. Now, WWE is wasting no time capitalizing on his viral momentum.
On the June 9th episode of WWE RAW, fans were treated to a full-on Mr. Iguana video package, featuring the charismatic luchador and his signature sidekick, La Yezca.
This came after Mr. Iguana teamed with Aerostar and Octagon Jr. in a fast-paced trios match against Lince Dorado and LWOs Dragon Lee and Cruz Del Toro. While the in-ring action was top-notch, it was Mr. Iguanas charm, comedic timing, and colorful presentation that grabbed the spotlightand clearly, WWE took notice.
As reported earlier, One NXT source indicated they will be pushing for him to make appearances. That internal push comes after Iguanas backstage presence reportedly impressed several WWE officials, with his enthusiastic cooperation and energy described as a breath of fresh air.
His appearance was also a massive hit on social media, becoming one of the most liked WWE posts of the weekend, proof that the fansmany of whom may have never seen him beforeinstantly connected with the reptilian showman.
Whether or not Mr. Iguana becomes a regular fixture on NXT remains to be seen, but WWEs decision to feature him on RAW suggests something bigger may be in play. For now, its clear that both fans and WWE execs see something special in himand theyre not afraid to lean into it.
