R-Truth didnt just make a surprise return at Money in the Bankhe made WWE work for it. According to a new report, WWE tried all week to get in touch with the veteran star, but he wasnt interested. It took WWE President Nick Khan stepping in personally to get the job done.

Fightful Select revealed that Truth, whose real name is Ron Killings, wasnt answering WWEs outreach leading up to the event. Despite several attempts from the company to reconnect, he remained silentuntil Khan called him directly to hammer out a deal.

This all unfolded as fans kept up their public pressure campaign. The We Want Truth chants echoed across Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and even TNAs Against All Odds, where fans made it clear they werent backing down. WWE had no choice but to listen.

Truth made his return during the main event of Money in the Bank and took out John Cena with a vicious spear. His interference directly helped Cody Rhodes hit Cross Rhodes and pin Cena in their tag match, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Though hell be referred to as Ron Killings for now, the comeback couldnt have been timed better. WWEs public stance is that this was all part of the showbut insiders say otherwise. It was a last-minute fix to a situation that nearly spun out of control, and it took Khan himself to cool things down.
