Speaking on the WWE Money in the Bank post-show, Cody directly addressed the deafening We Want Truth chants that have followed WWE all weekand confirmed that bringing back R-Truth, now using his real name Ron Killings, was no coincidence.
The truth is, you guys wanted Truth, Cody said. Its always our job, everybody up here, everybody over here, Triple H, Nick Khan, its always our job to give you what you want, so thank you guys for letting us know.
The moment capped off a chaotic main event where Truthdisguised under a maskspeared John Cena and cost him and Logan Paul the tag match against Rhodes and Jey Uso. It wasnt just a return; it was a statement.
As noted earlier, R-Truth is officially back with WWE and will be using the name Ron Killings, at least for now. What makes it even crazier is that he was reportedly in talks for indie bookings just days before, with his return to WWE coming together within the last 72 hours.
The return came on the heels of fans hijacking shows across the board. From RAW and NXT to SmackDown and even TNAs Against All Odds event, chants for Truth were impossible to ignore. WWE didnt just hear themthey acted.
With Ron Killings now back on WWE programming and Cody openly acknowledging the fan-driven comeback, this might be one of the rare times WWE truly gave the people exactly what they wanted.
