AEW brought a giant broadcast for their June 4 Collision, which was also Fyter Fest. That included the debut of an exciting new star.
Thekla was set to make her in-ring debut at AEW Fyter Fest. That led to a lot of hype as the fans waited to see her make her first marks on the AEW roster.
The former STARDOM star was fired for assaulting the owner of that company. Then Tony Khan just had to sign her. After a lot of anticipation, Thekla finally made her in-ring debut during AEW Collision. This was also met with a lot of fans who were really looking forward to seeing her, and their patience was also growing thin.
Theklas debut match went down in the final thirty minutes of Collision. Fans were very happy to see the Toxic Spider, nonetheless. Lady Frost was picked as Theklas first opponent in AEW, and fans chanted for the underdog as they got started.
Although Lady Frost was able to put up a good fight, Thekla pulled off some impressive and innovative moves. She also did her spider pose that has gone viral complete with a spider walk. In the end, the AEW newcomer was able to pull off the big win with a spear and a Death Trap submission for her debut match. After the match was over, Thekla latched on her submission hold once again, but then Queen Aminata ran down to cause her to break the Death Trap.
Thekla joins a loaded locker room in AEW, and its anyones guess what she will be able to do at this point. She certainly had an exciting in-ring debut for Tony Khans company.
