Eric Bischoff recently shared his thoughts on the rumors that Vince McMahon might try to buy back WWE, following speculation sparked by Jonathan Coachmans recent comments.
During the May 30, 2025 episode of 83 Weeks, Bischoff gave a more nuanced take on the possibility of McMahon reclaiming control of the company.
When asked about Coachmans comments, Bischoff hesitated but ultimately acknowledged that while it seems unlikely, the idea isnt entirely out of the question, especially with Vince McMahons history of surprising moves.
Bischoff went on to discuss the financial side of the potential buyback, explaining how Vince McMahon could leverage a large sum of money to make an offer. In this case, TKO, the parent company of WWE, would have a fiduciary responsibility to consider any legitimate offers that could benefit their shareholders, regardless of their personal feelings about McMahon.
Bischoff acknowledged that he didnt have much experience with mergers and acquisitions but emphasized that the idea of McMahon buying WWE back, though improbable, remains a plausible scenario.
Bischoffs comments have added fuel to the ongoing speculation about McMahons possible return to WWE. While it may not be likely, the idea of McMahon reasserting control of the company is still on the table, depending on the financial circumstances.
