The phrase Cody Raheem Rhodes was born out of Codys polarizing 2021 AEW promo where he spoke emotionally about being a white man married to a Black woman and having a biracial daughter. While meant to be sincere, the promo quickly turned into a meme, with sarcastic signs and posts showing up regularly in the years since.
