Shiloh Hill was definitely one of the standouts during Season 1 of WWE LFG, but many fans wondered how he came up with his name in the first place and now the origins of his WWE name have been revealed.
While speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Shiloh Hill was asked who came up with his ring name. He noted that a lot of people at the Performance Center think Thunder is just a ring name and Shiloh is the real name but in reality, Thunder is his legal name.
When joining WWE, there was some concern whether it would be okay to wrestle using a real name, since WWE usually wants to own the rights to a wrestlers name. However, Hill noted that at the Performance Center, the process is more of a team effort, where the wrestler and creative team work together to come up with a name.
Shiloh Hill is a name that he personally picked. It was inspired by two things: the musician Shiloh Dynasty, known for lo-fi music, and the video game Silent Hill. The name mixes both of those influences together.
Funnily enough, even John Oliver previously called out WWE for not letting Shiloh Hill use his real name, Thunder Justice Keck. Regardless, it was Hills choice to create a name that felt like his own and fans have obviously embraced it now.
