WWE isnt wasting any time tightening its grip on AAA.
Fightful Select reports WWE has quietly started sending agents to AAA tapings to observe how things are run and report back. Jeremy Borash has been heavily involved in this process and has reportedly held multiple conversations with talent at recent shows.
The talent in AAAespecially those without official contractsare still unsure about their roles moving forward. WWEs deal to acquire a 51% stake in AAA is expected to finalize later this year, but the impact is already being felt.
At least one AAA insider claims the change in backstage structure is real, with some longtime AAA figures already losing power behind the scenes.
With WWE slowly integrating its structure into the heart of Mexican wrestling, the road ahead for AAAs locker room looks uncertainand anything but business as usual.
