Paul Wight has been part of the AEW family since 2021 and hes seen the company change in numerous ways, which is why he has now stated that AEW allows real creative freedom unlike other cookie-cutter promotions.
While speaking to Bill Apter, Paul Wight said he really appreciates how Tony Khan runs AEW. He mentioned that a lot of fans think they know best, but he respects how Tony treats the wrestlers and gives them the freedom to figure out who they are in the ring.
Wight explained that AEW isnt like other cookie-cutter wrestling companies that tell you exactly how to walk out, what to wear, or how to act. Instead, AEW feels more real and natural. For Paul Wight, especially at this point in his career, that kind of freedom and honesty is something he values a lot.
Paul Wight was last seen during AEW Full Gear Zero Hour last year and while fans are waiting to see when hell return, Wight is just happy to be part of Tony Khans family right now.
As AEW grows in the wrestling business, legends like Paul Wight show that giving wrestlers creative freedom is what really matters right now. For wrestlers who want to be themselves, this freedom can make a big difference and thats why many fans will always love AEW no matter what.
