WrestleMania 42 might be Las Vegas-bound, but two major issues are standing in the wayand they could derail WWEs big stadium return.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that while Allegiant Stadium has been reserved for April 18 and 19, 2026, the deal isnt fully locked in due to scheduling conflicts that WWE has yet to resolve. Meltzer wrote, There is a concert booked at the stadium that has not been announced that makes the moving in and setting up the stadium too tight.
The real problem? The concert promoters arent budging. Those in charge of the stadium have attempted to move the concert date but the promoters have said that they have a contract for that date and thus far have been unwilling to move, Meltzer added.
Thats not the only headache. Meltzer also reported that the Las Vegas Convention Center, which played host to WWEs fan experiences during WrestleMania 41, is already booked up with another event that same weekend. With space limited, WWE might be forced to downsize or find another venue for its signature Axxess-style experiences. WWE could end up using less space in the building or move to a different convention center such as Mandalay Bay, Meltzer noted.
While Allegiant Stadium delivered big numbers for WrestleMania 41 and WWE seems eager to run it back, the logistical hurdles are starting to pile up. WrestleMania 42 was originally announced for New Orleans, but that plan was quietly scrapped. Now Vegas may be the frontrunner againbut nothings final until these kinks get worked out.
