The Queen of the Ring biopic is once again stirring controversy after its official Twitter account responded to a fan accusing them of lying about WWE trying to block their ads. The fan tweeted, Bllshit. Ive seen ads during commercial breaks on WWE programming.*
In response, the Queen of the Ring account doubled down, writing, We said they tried to, they obviously didnt succeed because we got the ads to run. We will reveal the full story soon. And then all will be understood.
This update comes after the films account deleted a previous tweet that claimed WWE tried to bury the movie, saying, The movie the WWE doesnt want you to see. Based on a true story certified fresh by critics and audiences See QUEEN OF THE RING tonight at home on Apple, Amazon or Fandango.
The tweet was taken down shortly after Ringside News picked up the story and fans started questioning the validity of the accusations. However, the account kept another explosive tweet up, claiming WWE attempted to prevent them from running ads during Monday Night Raw and backed out of a sponsorship deal.
You should ask them why they tried to block us from running TV ads during Raw (illegal), why they asked us to sponsor their events, we agreed to the financial deal then they pulled us out last minute this is just a glimpse into the sabotaging behavior perhaps we will expand on the intel, the account tweeted.
WWE has yet to address the allegations, but with the Queen of the Ring team promising to reveal more, the drama is far from over.
