Queen of the Ring, a biopic of the inaugural NWA World Womens Champion Mildred Burke, hit theaters earlier this year. Despite the only WWE talent that was in the film, Naomi, the Queen of the Ring official social media account alleges that WWE doesnt want you to see this film. It is now streaming.
Of course the pigheaded sexist neanderthals were all under the comments.which is no surprise.
When one person who said they enjoyed the movie claimed the reaction from the post was click bait wondering why WWE wouldnt want you to see it. The response from the official account was:
You should ask them why they tried to block us from running TV ads during Raw (illegal), why they asked us to sponsor their events, we agreed to the financial deal then they pulled us out last minute..this is just a glimpse into the sabotaging behavior.. perhaps we will expand on the intel.
The real life wrestlers who did star in the film were AEW talents such as Kamille and Toni Storm. The roles were originally planned yo be played by WWEs Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan.
