Darby Allins status with AEW is still up in the air as the daredevil continues his grueling climb up Mount Everest.
Allin, who hasnt been seen in AEW since his draw against Ricochet in the Continental Classic in New York City, set out to conquer the worlds highest peak weeks ago, and updates on his progress have been scarce.
Before heading off to Everest, the plan was for Allin to return to AEW by spring, with hopes that he would be part of the Owen Hart Foundation Mens Tournament and Double or Nothing on May 25 in Glendale, Arizona. However, with no confirmed return date and Everest climbs typically taking six to ten weeks, Allins comeback remains a question mark.
Back in January, Fightful Select reported that Allin was already pulled from AEW programming, and the plan was for him to return in time for Double or Nothing. Since then, theres been radio silence regarding his status, leaving fans to wonder if hell even be available for the pay-per-view.
Darby Allins climb up Everest has been a goal of his for years, but the unpredictability of the expedition means AEW may have to move forward without him for a while longer.
Do you think Darby Allin should take as much time as he needs to finish his climb, or should he hurry back to AEW to get back in the ring? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
