Victoria Crawford, known to WWE fans as Alicia Fox, is embracing her real name and looking to reinvent herself in the wrestling world. After over 15 years in WWE, Crawford is now part of TNA Wrestling, where shes gearing up to challenge Masha Slamovich for the TNA Knockouts Championship at TNA Under Siege.
During an interview with Gabby LaSpisa on Gabby AF, Crawford was asked if shed consider making an appearance in NXT as part of TNAs partnership with WWE. Crawford didnt rule it out but admitted that stepping back into the Alicia Fox persona might not be as easy as it sounds.
I do love watching and popping my head in and looking at who is coming up, Crawford said. I would definitely take the opportunity to go to NXT and do something. I would want to roll around with any and all the girls.
However, Crawford made it clear that shes more interested in moving forward as Victoria rather than revisiting her old character. Now being identified as Victoria, my whole experience has really changed, she explained. If I were to be at TNA as Alicia Fox, I know it may be a name, but its like a persona. I almost wonder if it would be difficult for me to return to her.
Crawford also mentioned the importance of authenticity, noting that separating herself from the Alicia Fox character has been a significant part of her journey. Im just thrilled to try something new under my name, she said. Im passionate about that, and I want the women to know who they are in the performance and outside. I cant stress enough the importance of that. Not ego identity, but authenticity.
With her TNA title match against Masha Slamovich on the horizon, Crawfords focus is clearly on making her mark as Victoria.
