Konnan is shedding light on some nixed plans involving WWEs rising luchador star, El Grande Americano.

During a recent episode of K100 with Konnan and Disco Inferno, the WCW veteran addressed fan mail and confirmed that he was supposed to work with Americano in some capacity, but the plans never materialized.

Earlier this year, El Grande Americano burst onto the WWE scene with an unexpected appearance on Monday Night RAW, showcasing his luchador skills and quickly gaining attention. He later began feuding with the Latino World Order, setting up a one-on-one match against Rey Mysterio.

However, Mysterio was pulled from the match due to injury, and Rey Fenix stepped in to face Americano in Las Vegas. While Disco Inferno speculated that Konnan might have played a character from Chad Gables past in Mexico, Konnan suggested that wasnt likely, as the character never returned after a one-off segment.

The missed opportunity leaves questions about how WWE could have utilized Konnan alongside Americano and whether the storyline could still come to life down the line.
