Zelina Vega won the Womens United States Championship on the April 25 episode of WWE SmackDown by beating Chelsea Green. Shes proud of her win, but some fans said she only got the title because her husband Aleister Black came back to WWE and she has now dismissed such accusations.
While speaking to HOT 97, Zelina Vega dismissed fan accusations that she only won the Womens United States Title because her husband Aleister Black returned to WWE. She said the timing wasnt planned and finds it funny that fans assume she got the title for that reason.
Vega pointed out that if it were really about him, it would have been for a world title. She added that the fact that both moments happened on the same night, just ten minutes apart, made it all feel surreal.
As previously reported,quite a few people were really happy for Zelina Vega following her Womens United States Championship win on SmackDown since it was such a huge moment for her.
In fact, Zelina Vega also claimed that she had no idea she was going to win the Womens United States Championship until a few hours before the show. Therefore, regardless what her haters say, Vega clearly earned her win and thats all that matters to her in the end.
