The May 16 edition of WWE SmackDown took place at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The night was full of action, including a Womens Title match that wasnt to be missed as Tiffany Stratton put her championship on the line.

Tiffany Stratton has been a strong WWE Womens Champion since she won the title. She even defeated Charlotte Flair in a big shock at WrestleMania 41 to retain her title. Then it was time for her to defend it again.

Nia Jax was looking to reclaim the title from Tiffany Stratton, after all, she was the one who lost the belt to Tiffy Time in the first place. Naturally, the Irresistible Force was looking to make a big statement. Before this match went down, Stratton also had some words backstage with Jade Cargill.

This match closed out the show, and it received a big-match feel thanks to the ring announcements from Mark Shunock. Once they got going, Nia Jax used her size to take an early advantage.

They went through a commercial break and eventually ended up fighting at ringside, where Tiffany Stratton was able to take control. They returned to the ring, where Stratton hit a spinebuster, but Jax returned fire with a slam and a leg drop for a near fall.

In the middle of the match, Naomis music hit and The Glow came out with a steel chair. She made her way to the ring, and the referee stopped her. Then Jade Cargill made her way out to take care of Naomi. The Glow whiffed a chair shot with Cargill, and then they ended up fighting in the crowd.

After that went down, Tiffany Stratton nailed a Prettiest Moonsault Ever for a near fall. That kickout from Jax was a shocking moment, as Joe Tessitore proclaimed that nobody has ever kicked out of that move before. Stratton climbed up top again, but Jax kicked her down to the floor. Then Jax nailed a Samoan Drop on the announce table, but it didnt break.

They returned to the ring, where Jax set herself up for her finisher, but Stratton got her hand on the bottom rope. Nia Jax started to walk off with the Womens Title without winning it, and then she got Naomis chair, but Stratton dropkicked it into Jaxs head, busted her open bad, and then Stratton hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the win.

This was a big win for Tiffany Stratton, as Nia Jax ended the match as a bloody mess. We will have to see what is next for Tiffany Stratton, but she is off on a great path. Only time will tell if she gets into the WWE Hall of Fame, but she has a ton of momentum going for her.
