Despite mounting speculation that WWE is bringing back its all-womens pay-per-view Evolution for the first time since 2018, the companys talent reportedly remains in the dark about the events status.

During a Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp addressed the ongoing rumors, revealing that hes spoken with multiple WWE stars who have no idea if Evolution II is happening. So Evolution, its something Ive been following up on a lot. Talent that I have talked to dont know about it. I havent heard about it, so working on it as we speak, Sapp said, suggesting that if WWE is planning the event, they havent informed the roster.

This update comes after a March 27 report from @WrestleVotes, which claimed that WWE was planning to bring back Evolution on July 5 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. The tweet stated, After speaking with sources, we can confirm WWE is set to bring back the Evolution PLE this summer. The return of the all-womens event is expected to be officially announced before WrestleMania.

The claim was credited to wrestling reporter Cory Hays, who had previously heard rumblings about the event. However, Sapps comments now cast doubt on that report, as it appears WWE talent hasnt been looped in on any such plans.

Adding to the confusion, Charlotte Flair addressed the Evolution rumors during a recent interview. While Flair didnt confirm or deny the event, she made it clear that shes heard the same rumors as everyone else. I really dont know. I hope it does. I hear all these rumors. I mean, its been a couple of years, so I think it would be a good time to [do it], Flair said.

For Flair, its not just about one night. I think, really, its just more about having more womens storylines and more womens main events. So, whether we have Evolution II or not, I think, overall, we need that regardless, she added, emphasizing that WWE needs to focus on consistent womens representation across all programming.

With conflicting reports and talent seemingly left in the dark, WWEs plans for Evolution II remain unclear. Will WWE officially announce the event, or is it just another rumor that will fizzle out?
