Steve Austins wild entrance at WrestleMania 41 took a dangerous turn when he lost control of his ATV, slamming into the ringside barricade and knocking a fan to the ground. While Austin quickly addressed the incident, WWE has reportedly gone silent about the aftermath and now we might know why.

In a recent Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp addressed the situation and suggested that WWE is keeping a tight lid on what happened next. I was told that we would likely not hear anything about that again unless a lawsuit is filed, Sapp said, hinting that the incident could have been quietly handled behind closed doors.

Sapp went on to explain how WWE likely dealt with the affected fan. Assuming WWE took care of the situation, it would almost certainly come with a non-disclosure, he noted. If they provided her any sort of monetary or benefit as a result of that situation, they almost certainly would have mandated an NDA.

During the crash, Austin misjudged a turn on his second lap around the ring, hitting the barricade with enough force to send a fan tumbling. Backstage, WWE exec Nick Khan was seen rushing over to speak with the fan, while Austin later went back to check on her personally.

On The Ariel Helwani Show, Austin opened up about the incident, calling it a personal embarrassment. I was embarrassed by it. I think everybody is okay, he said. You go out there on the biggest night in wrestling and you end up like that, its not the greatest day at the office.

As for whether the fan received any sort of compensation or settlement, Sapps comments suggest WWE may have locked it all down with a legal agreement. If thats the case, dont expect to hear much more about the crash unless a lawsuit is filed.
