Matt Hardy isnt holding back when it comes to giving advice to wrestlers whove been released by WWE.
During a recent episode of The Extreme Life With Matt Hardy, the AEW star shared some blunt words of wisdom for those looking to keep their career options open.
One thing I would say is learn how to not be overly opinionated when youre talking about other promotions, Hardy said. Learn how to shut the hell up and just worry about what youre doing, speak positively, and stop talking negatively about other places.
Hardy emphasized that running your mouth about other promotions can come back to haunt you, especially if youre looking to get rehired. If you do get to that point where you do get released and youre gone, then youve kind of screwed yourself up from going somewhere else, he warned. Pro wrestling is a small world in the big scheme of things dont burn bridges before you have an opportunity to go somewhere else just in case.
Hardy also had strong words about social media and the negativity that often surrounds it. If youre a wrestler, if youre a performer, be better than that, be smarter than that, and learn how to just talk about the things that are positive, the things that you like, and let your grievances go, he advised.
Matt Hardy knows a thing or two about navigating the wrestling world after being released and his message is clear: keep your mouth shut and stay professional, or risk burning bridges that could cost you future opportunities.
