Liv Morgan might be away from WWE to shoot her first major film role, but fans wont have to wait long for her return.
According to Fightful Select, Morgans time off for Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo will be brief. The WWE star is currently in Japan filming the thriller and is expected to wrap on May 16, with her return flight to the United States scheduled for May 17. While its unclear exactly when shell be back on WWE TV, the report confirms that shell only miss at minimum one more episode of Raw.
This new update offers clarity after Wrestling Observer Radios Bryan Alvarez noted, The impression I got was that shes out of here, and thats why they shot the angle on Monday. That angle aired on the April 29 episode of Raw, where Morgan asked Adam Pearce for time off to pursue the opportunity. Her request was granted on-screen, unlike Dominik Mysterio, who was denied a similar break.
Morgan will appear alongside Lily James and Shun Oguri in Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, playing a missing politicians daughter in a plot involving an FBI agent, a corrupt Tokyo cop, and a dangerous yakuza killer. Directed by acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Takeshi Miike, the film is set to be distributed by Neon, the studio behind Oscar winner Anora.
Though this is Morgans first major acting gig, the fast-paced schedule suggests WWE still has big plans for her upon her returnespecially considering shes still one-half of the Womens Tag Team Champions with Raquel Rodriguez.
