The May 6 episode of WWEs NXT brand brought a big show to The CW. Anyone outside America got to see it on Netflix, and they certainly saw momentum toward figuring out who would face Oba Femi next for the NXT Title. That included a big surprise.
WWE once had Elias on their roster, and he had an impressive run, but he was eventually released. He became Elijah on the indies, and he eventually ended up in TNA Wrestling.
Thanks to TNA Wrestling and NXTs partnership, there were a few surprises in the battle royal for the #1 contender for the NXT Title. The winner of that match got to face Oba Femi at Battleground.
Much to fans surprise, Elijah was the last person who came out. He did his bit on guitar, where he sung a song, and fans were thrilled to see him. They also chanted Oh, Walk With Elias, but it was bleeped. His name is Elijah now, after all.
We will have to see if this will open the door for more from Elijah in NXT. He is certainly going with a fresh amount of momentum. At this point, he is also becoming a fan favorite.
