CM Punk has expressed his desire to be part of John Cenas farewell tour before the year endswhether that means teaming up with him or standing across the ring as his opponent.
Speaking with Netflixs Tudum, The Best in the World opened up about John Cena, expressing his desire to be part of The Cenation Leaders final ride. Punk said hed be thrilled to either team up with Cena or face him one last time in the ring, calling it an honor to be involved in the farewell in any capacity. No matter what happens, hes more excited than everboth as a performer and a fanto see whats in store.
CM Punk noted that The Cenation Leader doesnt like to talk about himself, so he took the opportunity to give him the praise he deserves. As a close friend, he felt it was his duty to thank Cena for everything hes given to the fans and the company. The Chicago native added that while Cena may not seek the spotlight, he absolutely deserves to be celebrated during this farewell tour.
The Straight Edge Superstar believes hes on a similar path as John Cena, acknowledging that hes now closer to the end of his career than the beginning. Punk shared that its time for him to give back to the business that gave him so much. He also spoke about the talents he wants to face in WWE before he finally hangs up his boots.
