A group of recently released WWE Superstars are finally free to wrestle elsewhere this month, as their 90-day non-compete clauses have officially expired. These names were part of WWEs first round of talent cuts for 2025, which took place back in February.

Now available for bookings are Cedric Alexander, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Isla Dawn, Sonya Deville, Blair Davenport, Giovanni Vinci, Electra Lopez, and The Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar). Some arent wasting any timeGallows and Anderson are set to work this Saturdays Maple Leaf Pro event in Canada and are heavily teased for a return to New Japan Pro Wrestling this Friday in California.

This fresh wave of availability comes just as WWE completed a second round of roster cuts this May. Those additional releases include several NXT names who will be eligible to return to the ring even sooner due to different contract terms.

Main roster talent, like those cut in February, are locked into 90-day non-compete clausesan ironclad part of WWEs contract structure designed to slow down exits to rival companies. NXT talent, however, are typically subject to only 30-day clauses. The difference is intentional and written directly into their contracts.

That contract structure has even caused panic behind the scenes before. When Aleister Black was originally released after moving from NXT to the main roster, WWE had mistakenly left his deal with only a 30-day clause. Once the company realized the oversight, internal calls were made to verify and lock down 90-day restrictions on all major releases going forward.

Now that May has arrived, the first batch of 2025s free agents can step back into the spotlight. The next big question iswhere will they land?

Which of these former WWE stars are you most excited to see return to action? Do you think WWE made the right calls with these releases? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
