The May 5 episode of WWE RAW went down at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. This was a big night for Cinco de Mayo, and Seth Rollins current storyline is still heating up after WrestleMania 41.
Rollins aligned himself with Paul Heyman at WrestleMania 41, and then Bron Breakker joined their faction. The three of them have only spent a short time together on WWE television so far, but their run has been very impactful.
We will keep a close eye on this storyline with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. With Bron Breakker as a part of the situation, that could certainly call for some explosive events in the pipeline.
Jey Uso opened up the show this week, and it didnt take long for Paul Heyman to interrupt him. Heyman said that Jey Uso cant say anything about the betrayal of Roman Reigns, because Jey Uso knows all about that. Then Jey said that he warned CM Punk and Reigns about Heyman being a snake.
CM Punk chants broke out and Heyman mocked them. Then Heyman brought up Reigns again as he blamed him for losing the title at WrestleMania 40 after he spent years building up the Bloodline. Then Heyman continued to walk everyone through what happened with Solo kicking him out of the Bloodline only to have Reigns come back to reclaim his ula fala. Then Paul Heyman went ballistic, screaming to screw Jey Uso and screw the fans for booing him.
Jey Uso asked Paul Heyman if hes okay. Then he asked what all this has to do with him. Heyman said that it doesnt have to do with him, because he didnt come out to speak about Reigns or Punk, but he did come out to talk about Jey Uso. Heyman told Uso that holding the title was about power and control, but he doesnt know how to carry it. Finally, he got around to saying that Seth Rollins has to be champion, and Bron Breakker is just stage one of their plan, because stage two is that title. Then, Paul Heyman said he was out to do Jey Uso a favor, he gets to pick the night he loses the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, because Seth Rollins has challenged him for the title.
Before dropping the mic, Paul Heyman said that Rollins will fight him anywhere, any place. Before Heyman left, Jey Uso called him back into the ring, where he booked the match for later on in the night. In the end, this match was the main event of the show.
In the midst of the main event match, Rollins was cut open on the announce table during the brawl. The two continued as they didnt relent anything to their opponent. In the end, there were a lot of near falls as well, including Rollins getting a close-call after nailing a Pedigree. Then Rollins missed a stomp as Jey hit a spear for another near fall.
After Jey Uso kicked out following a Stomp, Seth Rollins looked like he was getting desperate. Suddenly, Sami Zayn came out through the crowd to take out Bron Breakker. Then Rollins got distracted as Uso nailed a superkick and a spear followed by a splash for another near fall.
Sami Zayn ate a spear from Bron Breakker on the outside. Then Jey checked on, but he ate a spear as well. Then Rollins nailed a Stomp when Jey got back in the ring, but CM Punk came out to stop him. Punk laid out Rollins with a chair as the Visionary left the ring. This was a big return during RAW, even if it disrupted a World Heavyweight Title match.
We will keep a close eye on the World Heavyweight Title picture. With CM Punk back, that will likely change Rollins direction a bit.
