Another name is officially out of WWE. Oro Mensah has confirmed his departure from the company, making him the latest cut from NXT during whats been a wave of quiet exits.
The former Meta-Four member took to social media and shared a heartfelt statement that reflected on his journey.
15 years hard work and true sacrifice to make it to WWE. Always gave it my 110% and put my whole passion and body into the artform of pro-wrestling. Thank you for all the support! love yall, he wrote.
Mensah, real name Oliver Sauter, first signed with WWE in 2019 and wrestled under the name Oliver Carter on NXT UK. He found early success in the tag team division, even capturing the NXT UK Tag Team Titles alongside Ashton Smith. After the NXT UK brand was shut down, he transitioned to the U.S.-based NXT in 2022 and was repackaged as Oro Mensah.
In recent months, Mensah had been part of Meta-Four with Noam Dar, Jakara Jackson, and Lash Legend. The group became a consistent part of NXT programming, especially in segments tied to the Heritage Cup. Ironically, this weeks episode of NXT featured a segment where the group mutually agreed to go their separate waysjust before several members were let go.
Oro Mensah may be done with WWE, but hes far from done with wrestling. With over a decade and a half of experience, global exposure, and a fresh start ahead, its only a matter of time before he lands somewhere newand you can bet he wont be sitting on the sidelines for long.
Is WWE letting go of talent like Oro Mensah too soonor is the company simply clearing the way for new faces? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
