The emotional toll of WWEs latest round of releases is still rippling through the rosterand now, Gigi Dolins former tag team partner Jacy Jayne has chimed in with a reaction that says everything.
On May 3rd, Jayne posted a photo of her and Dolin holding their NXT Womens Tag Team Championship belts, a throwback to their days dominating as part of Toxic Attraction. But it wasnt just the image that hit fans in the gutit was the simple caption: a broken heart emoji.
The post immediately struck a chord with fans who remember the chemistry and success Jayne and Dolin shared. As Toxic Attraction, the duo ran through NXTs womens tag division and became one of the brands top acts. Their split may have been dramatic on-screen, but this post showed that behind the curtain, theres still love and history between them.
Dolins release stunned fans and fellow superstars alike. On Twitter, Tatum Paxley wrote, Chemical X forever, while Shotzi Blackheart added, Forever XXX, referencing their bond as a trio on NXT. The support poured in quickly, with many expressing disbelief that someone with Dolins charisma and in-ring talent was even on the chopping block.
Dolin wasnt aloneher release came as part of a wave of cuts that also included Shayna Baszler, Braun Strowman, Katana Chance, Cora Jade, and others. With Dolin under a 30-day non-compete clause, fans are already speculating about where she could land next. AEW, TNA, and the indies are all on the table.
