Alex Kane is no longer under contract with Major League Wrestling. As of today, May 1, the former MLW World Heavyweight Champion has officially hit free agency, leaving his next move wide open.

According to Fightful Select, Kanes deal with MLW expired today, and theres been no confirmation on whether talks for an extension have taken place. MLW has not commented on the situation.

Kane has been one of MLWs top stars since joining the promotion in the summer of 2021. He quickly rose through the ranks, capturing both the National Openweight Title and the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. His victory over Hammerstone made him only the third wrestler to hold the companys top title in more than four years.

He also led the Bomaye Fight Club during his run and became a centerpiece of MLW programming. Known for his explosive in-ring style and strong presence, Kane has built a solid reputation as one of the promotions most valuable homegrown stars.
