Just days before MLW holds its next and annual pay-per-view event, Saturday Night SuperFight, it appears there will be one less face seen at the show in Cicero Stadium, as actor and pro wrestler Paul Walter Hauser has announced his departure from the promotion. In a post uploaded to hisInstagrampage, Hauser addressed his exit, stating that his decision to leave all boiled down to creative differences. Yet, he is extremely grateful for the two-year tenure he had working for MLW."With a heavy heart, but a clear mind, I said goodbye to the MLW family late last week," Hauser began. "Before speculation or conjecture try to rear their ugly, & needless, head my decision was simply rooted in creative differences. The truest, & least sexy, answer. I enjoyed my time in Major League Wrestling...To be perfectly honest, I don't think any of my best matches were in MLW, but I did the best I could with what I had at the time...But more than anything, I hope I was a value-add to their culture, & I hope I created moments for the fans."The Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award winning actor was first introduced to MLW founder and owner Court Bauer through wrestling veteran Sami Callihan. Hauser then signed his MLW deal in May 2024. A favorite to many, Hauser participated in many of MLW's specialty matches, including its War Chamber, street fights, Texas tornados, an MMA cage, Bunkhouse Stampede, and its 40-Man Battle Riot. His last match was a victory over Cody Fluffman in early September. He also helped produce and direct various segments backstage. This news comes in the midst of recent backstage and in-ring changes within MLW. As announced earlier today, former AEW Vice President of Live Events and Touring Rafael Morffi is now stepping in as the new Senior Director of Live Events, replacing Mike Kitlas. And after ironing out some contractual conflicts, Tessa Blanchard will make her in-ring debut for MLW this Saturday.
