It was a big last week for WWE's Rusev and his wife, former WWE star CJ Perry, as the couple revealed they were expecting their first child, a son they intend to name Bear, next April. Rusev is excited for his impending fatherhood, and is also more motivated than before by it to make an impact in the ring. During an interview with "TMZ Sports' Inside the Ring," Rusev made clear that he was looking to pursue the WWE Intercontinental Championship like never before, not just for himself but as a life lesson to Bear"I had been following the Intercontinental Title for over a year now, and I believe when the time is right I will bring it back home," Rusev said. "Whether it's before Bear or after Bear, this title will be mine. And now, especially knowing that Bear is coming, I have a lot more to fight for."I have to teach my son how to be a man, how to stand up for himself, how to show his power where he needs to be, not just spread his power everywhere. Because you can, you have to concentrate your strength. So now this is going to be my next task, my next mission is to show my life to my child and how to behave when he grows up when I'm not here."Rusev's confidence comes despite the fact that he's been off TV since July, when he suffered a neck injury that left his hands numb. An illness followed soon after, resulting in Rusev missing more time. Despite the fact that it remains unclear when he'll return to WWE, Rusev wasn't upset about being forced out of action, and believes that his momentum will remain intact despite the long layoff. If you use any of the quotes in this article, please credit "TMZSports Inside the Ring" and provide a h/t to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription
