United had an encouraging first half, but Lisandro Martnez was sent off as they slipped to another defeat. United have lost four of their last five games in all competitions, and they have failed to score in three of them.Their last win of any kind came against Champions League debutants Sabah almost two months ago. Since then, they have been thrashed 4-1 at Como and beaten 3-0 at home by Bournemouth. United are 21st in the league-phase table, and another defeat would leave them on three points from four games.Gian Piero Gasperinis Roma arrive in completely different form. They are unbeaten in Serie A this season, winning seven and drawing three, and they hammered Udinese 5-2 on Saturday. Donyell Malen has been the star once again, with eight Serie A goals and three in the Champions League.History is very much on Uniteds side, though.
