Kit Wilson originally arrived in WWE alongside his Pretty Deadly tag team partner, Elton Prince. After Prince suffered a serious neck injury that needed surgery, Wilson was on his own for a while as he has spouted condemnation for what he believes is toxic masculinity. He aligned with The Miz because he believed Danhausen's curses weren't real. Danhausen continued to get the better of Wilson and Miz for a while, leading to a match at Backlash earlier this year. Wilson and Miz were on the losing end of Bakusai's debut. They've continued teaming together at live events and most recently on Main Event. On the Battleground Podcast, Wilson spoke about his love for James Bond and how he wanted to bring elements into his character, such as a suit and a "Bond-esque entrance". In the same vein as the Bond inspired character, Wilson says he pitched hard to be in the Secret Hervice and even had Chelsea Green on board."I was a James Bond/Secret Hervice mix and I really would have loved that at the time. It would have been some fun stuff, but it was not to be just yet," Wilson explained.Wilson said that he's been surprised that WWE has been open to some of his pitches related to the "toxic masculinity" gimmick, but supposes it's because they suffer from toxic masculinity themselves and needed a man to tell them.If you use any quotes from this article, please credit Battleground Podcast and provide a h/t to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription.
