Preview for Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit LionsThe Detroit Lions will look to end the Minnesota Vikings unbeaten start to the 2026 NFL season when the NFC North rivals meet at Ford Field on Sunday.Minnesota are the only remaining undefeated team in the league, winning all six of their opening games, while Detroit have a 4-2 record and an opportunity to close the gap at the top of the division. The Lions have once again established themselves as one of the NFLs most dangerous attacking teams, with quarterback Jared Goff enjoying an impressive start to the campaign.Goff has thrown for 1,788 yards and 14 touchdowns, completing 150 of his 223 passing attempts. His partnership with Amon-Ra St. Brown continues to control Detroits offence, with the wide receiver recording 46 receptions for 525 yards and five touchdowns.Jameson Williams and tight end Sam LaPorta provide additional options in the passing game, while Jahmyr Gibbs has been particularly effective on the ground.Gibbs has rushed for 620 yards and seven touchdowns from 134 carries, averaging more than 4.6 yards per attempt.Minnesota have been outstanding defensively throughout the opening weeks, conceding just 62 points across six games.Kevin OConnells side are allowing an average of only 10.3 points per contest, the best defensive record in the NFL.The Vikings have already beaten division rivals Green Bay and Chicago, and another win on Sunday would strengthen their position at the top of the NFC North.Their latest success came against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7, when Minnesota recorded a 16-10 win to preserve their perfect record. However, the Vikings have not always been convincing offensively.Quarterback Kyler Murray completed 14 of his 24 passes for just 150 yards against Indianapolis, although he did throw a touchdown and avoid an interception.Minnesota have frequently relied on their defence and special teams to win close games, with kicker Will Reichard converting 18 of his 19 field-goal attempts this season.Justin Jefferson remains the Vikings biggest receiving threat, but he has scored only one touchdown in his last four appearances after beginning the campaign with two against Green Bay.Prediction for Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit LionsMinnesotas unbeaten start has been built on an outstanding defence, but Sundays trip to Detroit represents arguably their toughest challenge of the season. The Vikings have been exceptional at preventing opponents from scoring, although they will need to produce another strong performance against a Lions offence featuring Goff, Gibbs and St. Brown.Jefferson remains capable of producing game-changing moments, while the Vikings defence should ensure this remains competitive throughout. However, Detroits impressive home record, stronger offensive output and recent success in this rivalry give them a slight advantage.Prediction: Detroit Lions 24-20 Minnesota VikingsHow to watch Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit LionsDetroit Lions v Minnesota Vikings kicks off at 6pm GMT on Sunday, November 1, at Ford Field in Detroit.UK viewers can watch the game live and free on 5ACTION, with coverage beginning at 5:30pm.The matchup will also be available to stream through the 5 app, Channel 5 Sports YouTube channel and NFL Game Pass on DAZN.In the United States, the game will be broadcast on FOX.
