O'Connell said he will meet this week with general manager Nolan Teasley, as he does regularly, but for now the Vikings do not anticipate a need to bolster depth at the position for the Vikings' upcoming game at the Detroit Lions."With where Aaron's at and where we feel coming out of the game, don't necessarily see it as a depth issue at all," O'Connell said. "But obviously things could change as we go day-to-day here."Jones has played most of this season with a sprained MCL in his left knee and was the Vikings' primary back for four games while Jordan Mason recovered from a fractured thumb. Mason returned for Sunday's 16-10 victory over the Colts, and while Jones started and took the first four carries of the game, Mason finished with a team-high 15 carries for 68 yards.Jones had 26 yards on eight carries, the last of which was a 17-yard scamper down the right sideline with 12:22 remaining in the fourth quarter. He absorbed a hit on the left leg from Colts safety A.J. Haulcy at the end of the run.The Vikings entered the season planning to use rookie Demond Claiborne and veteran newcomer DeeJay Dallas behind Jones and Mason. But Claiborne has been inactive for the two games that Jones and Mason have both played in, and in the other games Claiborne and Dallas have combined for nine carries.
