The Miami Heat have made their worst start to a season since 2007, with Erik Spoelstra and Giannis Antetokounmpo both sounding the alarm after the team fell to 0-3.Miami suffered a 115-110 loss to the short-handed Charlotte Hornets on Saturday, blowing a 21-point deficit before mounting a late comeback that ultimately fell short. The Heat trailed 96-75 entering the fourth quarter but rallied to tie the game at 104, only to be denied their first win of the season. They have now been outscored by 47 points across their opening three games.Antetokounmpo had already voiced his frustration after Miamis previous loss to Detroit, admitting the team needed to change its approach. We dont set the tone, Giannis said. I feel like we just expect that other teams are just gonna come in this building and lay down and let us play our game, but its not gonna be this way. Teams are good.Coach Erik Spoelstra was just as blunt. Our system is our system. We can be that active at any point during the game, Spoelstra said. When we arent, were choosing not to, and were paying the price right now.The Heat coach also called for his players to find ways to lift each other amid their early struggles. We need inspiration, he said. Its a powerful thing when you can inspire your teammate to make an extraordinary effort. And we will. Well get there.Giannis was limited to 14 points, six rebounds and three assists against Charlotte before fouling out with less than two minutes remaining. With Miami struggling to find consistency at both ends of the floor, the Heat have plenty of work to do to turn their season around.
