Penders was drafted into the starting XI at Stamford Bridge after Emiliano Martinez suffered a broken jaw in Chelseas 2-0 win at Everton last week.The Belgian made a series of strong saves to preserve parity as Tottenham produced an impressive away performance at a sodden Stamford Bridge.It appeared as if a feisty London derby would end the with the spoils being shared, but Penders gifted Spurs a second successive win when he punched Mateus Fernandes corner into his own goal.Chelseas hopes of salvaging something from an underwhelming showing were then dealt a huge blow as Palmer saw red for a second bookable offence.And Tottenham ensured Chelsea would not avoid a first home defeat of the campaign as a fine individual goal from Mathys Tel secured their first away win in this fixture since 2018, which moves them up to 12th in the Premier League.More to followThe Premier League Table Premier League 2026 England #TeamPlayedWonDrawnLostGFGAGDPtsLast 5 1 Manchester City87012091121 L W W W W 2 Arsenal7601115618 W W W L W 3 Brighton75112351816 W W W W D 4 Chelsea74121713413 L W W L D 5 Liverpool733198112 W L W D W 6 Aston Villa8323912-311 W W D W L 7 Brentford7241138510 L D W D D 8 Leeds724196310 D L D W D 9 Everton724187110 L L D W D 10 Ipswich83141216-410 D L W L W 11 Hull City72328719 L D L D D 12 Newcastle72231014-48 L L W L D 13 Manchester United7142101007 D D D L D 14 Crystal Palace7214917-87 L W D L W 15 Bournemouth7133913-46 W L L D D 16 Tottenham7133610-46 W W D L D 17 Nottingham Forest8134610-46 D L L L W 18 Coventry7205614-86 L L W W L 19 Fulham7124710-35 W W L D D 20 Sunderland7115614-84 L L L L D Position 1, 2, 3, 4 : Promotion Champions League (League phase) Position 5 : Promotion Europa League (League phase) Position 18, 19, 20 : Relegation Championship Upcoming fixtures for Chelsea and Tottenham Upcoming Fixtures : Chelsea League Cup Liverpool LIV 20:00 2026-10-28 Chelsea CHE Premier League Chelsea CHE 12:30 2026-10-31 Manchester United MUN Premier League Sunderland SUN 15:00 2026-11-07 Chelsea CHE Premier League Chelsea CHE 15:00 2026-11-21 Leeds LEE Premier League Nottingham Forest NOT 15:00 2026-11-28 Chelsea CHE Upcoming Fixtures : Tottenham Premier League Tottenham TOT 17:30 2026-10-31 Crystal Palace CRY Premier League Leeds LEE 15:00 2026-11-07 Tottenham TOT Premier League Tottenham TOT 15:00 2026-11-21 Ipswich IPS Premier League Sunderland SUN 15:00 2026-11-28 Tottenham TOT Premier League Tottenham TOT 20:00 2026-12-02 Fulham FUL Topics Chelsea F.C.
