EmailPrintOpen Extended ReactionsFLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets' struggling offense will get one or possibly two key players back in the lineup Sunday.Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, sidelined four games with a right-hand finger injury that required a surgical procedure, practiced all week and will play against the Miami Dolphins (0-5), coach Aaron Glenn said Friday. The Jets are hopeful that running back Breece Hall also will return after missing three games with a quadriceps injury, but there's less certainty in his case. Hall, who practiced the past two days on a limited basis, is questionable for the game. Glenn said they will make the decision Sunday. They could use a spark. The Jets (2-4) are averaging only 18.7 points per game (27th), with only four touchdowns in the past three games. With Mitchell back, the Jets will have their top three receivers for the first time since Week 1. Mitchell, Garrett Wilson and rookie Omar Cooper Jr. have been on the field together for only four snaps -- the first series of the season opener. Cooper missed the next four games with an ankle injury, returning last week with a six-catch, 103-yard performance."Anytime we get the band back together, when they're all there and they get a chance to continue to build this relationship on the field, it's always critical," Glenn said, alluding to Mitchell's return.Mitchell made nine receptions for 123 yards in the first two games. Before Week 3, he sustained a significant finger injury in practice when he caught it in a teammate's jersey, Glenn said. He practiced the next day. The Jets didn't think he'd be sidelined that long, so they didn't put him on injured reserve. About 10 days later, Mitchell underwent a procedure."With all the playmakers that we have, when you have a guy like AD out there, he can stretch the field, he can be a possession guy, and I think him, Garrett, Coop, they just present a lot of different challenges for the defense," quarterback Geno Smith said. "And so the more guys, the merrier."Braelon Allen has filled in nicely for Hall, rushing for 253 yards over the last three games. Hall remains the starter, according to Glenn, adding that Allen will continue to get carries.Left guard Dylan Parham, out three games with a knee injury, also could return Sunday. He returned to practice this week and is listed as questionable. The Jets could have their entire starting lineup intact for the first time since Week 1.Glenn declined to comment on a report, confirmed by ESPN, that he was fined $250,000 by the league for his conduct toward game officials."I will keep that between me, the NFL and the refs," Glenn said.
