Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg says hes lost all respect for Luka Doncic for how much he whines and complains to the refs after his first NBA game guarding the Lakers star.Tempers flared late in the second quarter when Doncic pump-faked Lendeborg into a shooting foul near the top of the key and let him know about it.I had a lot of respect for him just from watching him, Lendeborg said. I didnt really watch their games much I just watched the highlights. Seeing him kill people all the time. But then being in it firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining I lost all respect.Things boiled over just before halftime when Doncic called for a clear-out against Lendeborg, and the rookie defended him well without fouling, forcing a step-back miss.As the Warriors pushed the ball, Lendeborg continued to yell at Doncic and officials stopped play and called a technical on Lendeborg.Me getting frustrated its not about the foul call being called, its about him complaining the entire game, he said. And then you get the foul call congratulations bro, and then you talk to me like you did something great? Come on dawg. it kind of threw me off for a little while cause, like I said I had so much respect for him. Gone.Yaxel added,I was telling him he sucks. He cant score on me. You talk but you cant score on me. I said it the whole game. I said a couple cuss words, obviously. Thats why I got the technical. But I was letting him know.Luka said in his postgame interview he was trying to not reply to Yaxels trash talk.He was talking crazy, Doncic said. But I wasnt trying to talk back. This season, Im not trying to get techs.Although the Lakers toweled the Warriors up and many were saying that Yaxel was put in his place by Luka, Lendeborg had the last laugh since he held Doncic to 1-of-6 shooting as the primary defender.
