Former WWE star Kairi Sane has been linked to a move to AEW ever since her departure from WWE, and it seems visa issues are not what's holding up the Japanese star's potential move.Fightful Selectreports that Sane has had a number of options available to her, both in Japan and elsewhere. Contrary to recent speculation, Sane is not waiting on a visa to sign with AEW. The report stated that her US visa has expired and that she would need to be signed by a promotion willing to sponsor a visa for her to wrestle in the country. It further noted that she hasn't signed with AEW yet and that the visa process will begin once she has signed on the dotted line with Tony Khan's promotion.A report from a few weeks ago had revealed that AEW and Sane had talks about her joining the promotion, but it pointed out that she hadn't signed with them. Another former WWE star, Ilja Dragunov, faced visa issues that were resolved ahead of his debut at WrestleDream this past weekend.Khan has acknowledged that Sane is someone that he would be interested in signing, speaking highly about her wrestling ability. Sane hasn't wrestled since her WWE exit but is set to feature in Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea, which will take place from November 7 to November 11, 2026.
