Bosa had expressed optimism last week that he may be able to get back against the Commanders and San Francisco held out some hope, too.But Bosa didn't practice all week, and the 49ers made it official that his wait will continue on Saturday afternoon."We would've been pleasantly surprised if he could go," coach Kyle Shanahan said. "I was pleasantly surprised that he was that optimistic last week, but we still would've been surprised. So, this is kind of what we were expecting. There was a chance. He wasn't wrong when he said that. I think he felt that way, but we were going to make sure it was fully good and another week will help."Evans, meanwhile, did not practice this week with what Shanahan called Achilles soreness coming out of last week's win against the Seattle Seahawks. He's listed as questionable for Monday night against Washington. While Evans wasn't participating in practice, he did some conditioning on the side during each of the three practice viewing periods that reporters were able to watch.Asked about Evans' status for the game, Shanahan said, "we'll know on Monday," though it's worth noting that Evans has already played in games this year after missing practices during the week with injury. As for Juszczyk, he has no injury designation and will return from the knee sprain and bone bruise he suffered in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos. That injury was initially expected to keep Juszczyk out for two to three weeks, but he recovered quickly and was a full participant in practice on Friday and Saturday after he was limited on Thursday."It looked bad at the beginning, and they said they thought it would be three weeks," Shanahan said. "Juice has always been fast every time he's ever been hurt, but this was really impressive."Elsewhere on the injury report, the 49ers ruled out receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring), safety Marques Sigle (ankle) and linebacker Garret Wallow (hamstring). Defensive tackle Gracen Halton (quadricep), safety Siran Neal (neck), cornerback Upton Stout (shoulder), defensive lineman Mykel Williams and wideout Christian Kirk (calf) join Evans with questionable designations. The 49ers opened Kirk's practice window this week after he'd been out since the beginning of training camp with a calf injury. He was a limited participant in all three days of practice with Shanahan saying Kirk could "possibly" play against the Commanders.Like Juszczyk, rookie defensive tackle James Thomspon Jr. will return this week after missing the past few weeks with a high ankle sprain.
