Amad Diallo has joined Lisandro Martinez in expressing his anger at Manchester Uniteds 2-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night. Martinez made headlines after criticising the clubs transfer policy following the Champions League setback at the Metropolitano. And while it was not clear who Diallos outburst was directed at it is another sign that things arent well at Old Trafford.Alongside a picture of him in action against Atleti, Diallo wrote on Snapchat: F***ing disgrace, I have no words.Martinez singles out United director of football WilcoxComing when it did, it would not be a surprise if Diallo was echoing Martinezs criticism of the clubs board and director of football Jason Wilcox.Speaking to Amazon Prime after the game, the Argentina defender said: We did a fantastic season last season and now we expect more from the top, more players to compete because many teams bring many players as well.Atletico have an amazing team and they deserved to win today.I expect more [investment]. 100%. I expect more from our technical director [Jason Wilcox].I have to be honest, as players we have to do more but it is also important when you make a strong squad to be ready for this kind of night.Tonight it is easy to [blame] the coach, easy to say the players but also we have to see other areas.United competed well against Atletico despite falling behind inside the opening minute when Diogo Dalot got caught out of position and Alex Baena crossed for Pablo Barrios to slot into the net.Bryan Mbeumo wasted two excellent chances to equalise but Uniteds challenge effectively ended when Leny Yoro was dismissed after bringing down Jonathan David with the Canada striker through on goal.Ademola Lookman made it 2-0 shortly after.Martinez was wrong, says former United striker RooneyMartinezs comments have divided opinion with many United fans feeling the central defender was right to speak out. But the clubs former striker Wayne Rooney felt the outburst came at the wrong time.Rooney said: I actually disagree as I thought it was a good performance. Its a difficult one because I always used to feel like I was outspoken as a player, and you want to have your opinion, but I think hes maybe gone too far; that should be down to the manager, and that should stay internal because the fans want to hear the players speak and they want to see them care.He clearly cares and wants the club to invest more money and more players, and if they do that, I think hell be one of the players out the door if Im being honest with his performances. His performances havent been good enough but I think in some ways he is right, in terms of the club need to invest more at the top end of the pitch and in defence as well.I think it looks like that was a bit of an agenda from him because that doesnt mirror the performance. I thought the performance was better. Topics Amad Diallo Atletico Madrid Lisandro Martinez Manchester United F.C.
