Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner described his sides defeat at his former club Crystal Palace as karma. Forest were beaten 3-1 on Glasners first return to Selhurst Park since leaving Palace in the summer after leading them to FA Cup and Conference League glory. Dan Ndoye opened the scoring for the visitors inside the first 5 minutes and for the next 35 minutes it was one-way traffic. Liam Delap wasted two great chances to extend the advantage before out of seemingly nothing Palace levelled through Daichi Kamada. The comeback was complete on the stroke of half-time when Jefferson Lerma bundled home a corner, while Yeremy Pino secured the points shortly before the hour mark. Glasner gives reaction to crazy gameSpeaking after the match, Glasner admitted his side had failed to kill the game off, but insisted his players did everything to try to get a result. We didnt kill the game off and we should have done it, creating so many chances, Glasner said. I played many games here [Selhurst Park] and I havent seen a team create so many chances. At the end, we did not convert them. We conceded the two goals before half time then we had two big chances but then we conceded the slapstick goal and we are 3-1 down.Today it looks like it is just me who is responsible for this, call it karma or whatever but it was like I didnt deserve to win at Selhurst Park because the players did everything. Nobody to blame for anything, the effort was there and the quality was there. This performance will give us confidence even if it feels strange with the result. Crazy game but for us it is important not just to look at the result.Next up for Forest is the visit of defending champions Arsenal on Sunday, while Palace travel to France to play Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday before facing Brighton in the so-called M23 derby next weekend.
